Reservations for Furnace Creek Campground Reservations for the Furnace Creek Campground are available for the camping season of October 15 to April 15 by calling or visiting recreation. Reservations must be made at least 4 days in advance, but can be made up to 6 months in advance. These opportunities are available in person at the kiosk only.

Upper loop our favorite, good room between the back-in spaces, restrooms close by. Plenty of trails for walking. Enjoy the sounds of frogs, birds and surf. Plenty of ocean breeze! Only 2 shower rooms for this loop, one was out of order and the other could not be turned off. The water did get hot enough, but shower head had no spray; more like using a hose.
It’s quite a hike to get to the beach and no dogs allowed on this stretch of beach to protect the endangered white plover bird. Dirt roads with holes everywhere we stayed Washburn sites. Quiet time no generators 8pm to 10am. Garbage truck arrives at 7am. Tractor driving around at 8 am trying to “smooth” road driving up to campsites. Get complaints for generator before 10am by tenters who were up partying half the night.
